In the summer of 2004, I made a long trip (almost 14,000 miles) around the USA on my 1978 Suzuki GS550E motorcycle, visiting friends and family, attending weddings, and working in a few different places. I created an itinerary for the trip, and also kept a travelogue as I went.

I grew up riding a bicycle, and have owned 7 cars, 3 motorcycles, and 4 bicycles. I no longer have a car, but I have my CDL and drive a school bus for a living. I'm working on writing a short personal transportation history of the various forms of transportation I've owned and used, and a page with my thoughts on the efficiency, speed, safety, and desireability of the different forms of transportation.
